Speaking is one of my top subjects! I have been a guest speaker at some conventions, and often do presentations for my company to the public. I know what makes a dynamic speech.

I work best one-on-one or in small groups, I can adjust my style to what a person needs after speaking with them for a while and understanding how they learn. I've found the best way to teach someone a new way of looking at something is to understand how they currently perceive it.
I have worked in art and graphic design professionally for the past 6 years, however I have been freelancing and creating art for myself since 1998. I previously worked for the Hayward Area Historical Society, which included assisting in design for exhibits as well as some teaching to visiting school groups. I have also been asked to teach small groups of children about art, or help with general homework on numerous occasions.

My comments on tutoring Speaking : Have been a radio disc jockey for two years of my life. Good at speaking to large audiences. Also wrote and published a book in 2012 and have done public speaking appearances related to that.

I like to involve the students in exercises instead of passively instruct. I prefer to relate lessons to things that are happening in real life, or issues that conjure significant emotion or stimulate debate. Good creative writing is all about the ability to transfer strong feelings from the writer to the reader. To make them feel what you feel or felt.
I taught Communications 101 to 20 "lifers" at San Quentin Prison as part of the Prison University Project. Some of these men had not been in a classroom in 20 years. I've also spent three years on the Advertising Review Committee for the California Chapter of the American Lung Association vetting all adverting, marketing and PR messaging for the marketplace. A Little Bit About Me...

After ten years working as a nurse in different facilities, I have finally found what I really like to do most-teaching.I have an MBA in Business Administration which I hope one day will enable me to open and operate my own business. For the time being, I enjoy teaching others how to read, write and moreover manage their daily physical exercise while maintaining a good sense of humor.
