My experience working with children and adults with Communication Disorders/Cognitive Deficits has provided me with an understanding and experience to assist others in many areas. I have an MS in Communication Disorders. This includes learning disabilities that involve language comprehension and expression, and problem solving deficits. I have also worked extensively with children and adults who have vocabulary deficits as a result of learning/language disabilities. My background and training has also equipped me to assist individuals who are not native English speakers in the areas of reading, writing, vocabulary, and accent reduction. I enjoy working with children and adults. My teaching style is tailored to the individual, as individuals learn differently and at various paces. I am very patient, and flexible. I believe that structure is necessary, without sacrificing creativity.

I love teaching and working with all types of children. I think children learn in different ways and have to conform to their teaching style. I was a slow reader but have learned ways to make reading fun. I hope to make reading fun for the child. I want the children to meet thier full potential of what they are capeable of.
