I have worked as a tutor for 8 years, both online and in person. I have tutored all ages and math levels; from grade schoolers to adults in Calculus. Most of my experience has been working in the Math Lab at Rose State College, where I can go from helping one student with Basic Math one minute, to helping another with Calculus the next, and everything in between. Generally I will try to ask questions to see which specific points a student needs assistance with and make sure they understand the material on a fundamental level. I also believe that practice and hands-on experiences teach the most, so there tends to be an emphasis on working through problems step-by-step than lecturing. Ultimately I am flexible, and can change my style and routine to accommodate the students' needs. While at the University of Tulsa I have tutored in both math and chemistry, so I have experience with those subjects in particular. Though I received a bachelors in Psychology I was also pre-med, so I was required to take several heavy science courses as well. As such I am also proficient in several biological subjects.
