Very up to the student. I will push you towards your goal, but since this is art, I will only critique your planning and how you compose your work. Will help with basics.
Several years of artistic experience, with portfolio to prove it. I have done paintings (murals, on canvas, on wood, linoleum, house painting, watercolor, acrylic, etc.), drawings (pencil, colored pencil, charcoal), digital painting and drawing, sculpture (aesthetic sculptures, furniture sculptures), and costume design (halloween, cosplay, stage costumes). I have done commissions for several clients. I have never tutored in art before, but I believe I am at a skill level in which I can easily show those how to get their creative juices flowing.

A Little Bit About Me...

I taught Kindergarten for five years at two different Title-1 schools in Okeechobee, Florida. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students including those afflicted with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. Prior to my teaching experience, I have also had experience interning in 2nd grade and 4th grade classrooms, worked with extended day programs and tutored elementary school students.
From my teaching experience, I have been able to remain sensitive to students’ unique capabilities and provide a supportive and positive learning environment. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1996. I began my teaching career in Monticello, Florida teaching 1st grade. I taught 1st grade for four years. Later I moved back to my hometown, Okeechobee, Florida, and began teaching 5th grade. I have been teaching 5th grade for the past eight years. I have been tutoring 5th grade Math and Reading students for the past seven years. This year I am currently tutoring 1st grade Reading students. I enjoy teaching, especially Math.
