Maria Rendina Frantz - dance educator, choreographer and professional actor has worked in various mediums, including dance, theatre, performance art, film and television for the past thirty years. Ms. Frantz studied extensively with the companies of Erick Hawkins, Martha Graham, June Lewis and Twyla Tharp and studied choreography with Leonide Massine, Bessie Schonberg, June Lewis and Pearl Lang. Ms. Frantz danced with Dance June Lewis & Company and with choreographers Judith Leifer and Dan Wagoner, and several choreographers, before her first attempt at 'MotionTheatre'™ choreography in 1978. A Little Bit About Me...

My goal as a teacher is to ensure that my students hone in on their individual skills and talents. In doing this, I create an atmosphere that is most conducive to learning. This is done through proper assessment and by challenging students at different levels with supplemental assignments and texts. Likewise, I typically design my classroom so that anyone walking into my room would have an enjoyable learning experience simply by viewing the walls. Sometimes, I have been called unconventional, but I think that within a changing society, it is very important to be able to teach "outside the box."
