I use the Socratic method. I challenge my students to respond to critical, higher level thinking questions. It is through this method that I secure positive results for the student. I believe strongly in approaching each child with a variety of techniques. I let the child explore why, then give concept information. The student then needs to practice, and finally personalize the information. This must be done using both analysis (left brain) and synthesis(right brain). After graduation I taught English for 28 years. During this time I became a Dept. Head. I also was trained to train teachers in learning styles and hemisphericity. I have adult AD/HD.
