The one thing that I observed about the learning process, is that a person quickly grasps a concept if he/she is interested, or the topic is thoughtful and challenges the wit of a person and lastly, a person is very comfortable in learning through his/her friends. Nobody is stupid not to grasp a concept. It is the methodology, technique and feeling of comfort and interest, that is required. Hence I try to be affable and was more involved. A picturization or a real life example is more likely to fit in a person's mind. I used this technique and was very successful. I initially ask the client their preferred method of learning. If they are unsure, I try different approaches in an effort to find one that fits. I find that many people lack confidence, particularly in math. I try to build confidence in the student so that he or she will have faith in their learning ability, both now and in the future.
