I went to public schools in East Detroit, Michigan. In eighth grade I set a personal goal to attend the University of Michigan. I never had private tutors. My strongest subject is math. Mr Learmont, my junior high school history teacher would frequently say, "Take care of these books and these books will take care of you." It was that inspiration that raised me to love learning and in turn teaching others.

Then I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I developed and taught a “Business for Doctors” class at three different colleges. I also enjoyed maintaining my private practice.
