Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I know that much of my success has been a result of learning from great dynamic teachers who really cared about me as a student and as a person. In my undergraduate studies, I volunteered as a high school athletics coach and took advantage of opportunities to lead college lectures in History, American Literature, and Philosophy. As a graduate student I continued this passion as a volunteer teacher at Community High School in Ann Arbor; there, I used my experience in athletics as a volunteer teacher of a fitness course, and I designed a course on Social Rebellion through Literature which I volunteered to teach as well. I have worked in education at the community college level for several years. I worked as an English Tutor for four years at Washtenaw Community College before being asked to join the part-time teaching staff. My class load consisted mostly of Composition I and Technical Writing classes; occasionally I would substitute for Literature courses when needed.
