I have worked with children of all ages in different environments and capacities for the past 20 years. It all started at the YMCA Afterschool and Summer Programs which gave me my first satisfactory feeling for being around young people. That led to substitute teaching and to 6 years in the classroom with 6th graders. For 1 year I taught English as a Foreign Language in Slovenia and Germany. My commitment to education can be found very simply. At 28 years old, I decided to go back to college to complete my final two years of school. I attained my BA 3 years later, having had to work full time to support my wife and two young children. My goal is, at some point, to return to school to attain my teaching credential, so I can fulfill my dream of being an English teacher.
