As an experienced K-12 substitute teacher, my work extended from the inner city to the county schools. I had the opportunity to instruct students with various ability levels and learning styles. During the 2008-2009 school term I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in a middle school working as tutor, special projects assistant, and mentor. I hold a BS degree in Sociology and expect to earn a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010. Since earing my degree in CIS I have had 10 years of industry experience as well as having worked as a substitute teacher in both the Galesburg (CUSD #205, 200-2001) and Peoria (District 150,2007-Present) School Districts. I believe everyone has their own aptitude for learning and will endeavor to discover each childs unique style for learning to help them strive to do their best in each endeavor they apply themselves to.
