I taught at the Elementary and Secondary level for 5 years, then moved on to teach in a Community college for 26 years. my subjects were applied music, choir and band in Elementary & Secondary. Having received an MA in French and Italian language and literature and recently submitting a PhD which focussed on Basque and Catalan nationalism, I was able to hone my language skills, and put them to use during many hours of fieldwork I conducted in France and Spain.
