As a graduate of Bethel University, I am currently pursuing a teaching career and am committed to excellence. While I was at Bethel, I earned two bachelor degrees, one in Creative Writing and one in Spanish. I assisted numerous friends by copy editing their essays, showing them where I saw they could improve while affirming where I saw their strengths. Each of these friends received A's or B's on their polished work. I also studied in Spain for one semester to complete my degree. I currently teach in an interim classroom for secondary students who have been suspended or expelled. I teach all subjects, but am most comfortable with LA and math. Before this, I taught in a high school classroom for students with behavioral disabilities. I taught LA and social skills. I also have been a para-educator in a junior high school, a substitute teacher, and taught dance lessons.
I have worked with students of many different backgrounds, ages, and abilities. I love to help a student find that "a-ha" moment where he or she finally understands a concept that has been a struggle. I enjoy teaching new concepts or working with students to master a concept.
