Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! I love teaching anyone who is willing to learn! I also teach children with learning disabilities and special needs.
I am very laid back and flexible. While I might be calm I only have 3 rules, 1. Be respectful, 2. the words "I can't" are not allowed :), and 3. have fun! I tend to create games based on the skills that are being taught and I'm not into lecturing, my approach is very hands. Learning can be fun!

Working with elementary students of all ages and levels has made me believe that all children can learn if given the opportunity and the right instruction. Not everyone learns the same way, and it is our job as teachers to make sure each student gets the instruction they need. If a student does no understand something, then we have to find another way to explain it so they do. Our job is not done until the student succeeds in learning.
As a recent education graduate I am eager to begin working with students, but in the present economy, teaching job vacancies are rare. I feel that tutoring students would still let me do what I want, and love, to do. A year long internship, student teaching, and masters level education courses have prepared me to teach students and gave me much experience as well as opportunities to learn.

A Little Bit About Me...
