I am from San Diego CA, and moved to Cleveland, OH Aug 2014. I am an educational interpreter and work as a sign language interpreter. I am a license Interpreter for the state of OH. I completed the sign language interpreting / transliterating program. I completed the Sign Language Interpreting / Transliterating program in 2014. I started my program 2011 and have been heavily involved with the Deaf Community. I have attended numerous workshops and professional development trainings over the course f my program. I think it is important to sit with the student and determine their strengths and weaknesses. I am very flexible in my teaching. I believe the student and I are a team. If he/she succeeds, we both succeed. I am always going over my notes, and thinking about different ways of teaching. I am open to suggestions from the student. If something doesn't work, I change it. My teaching style is basic. I feel it is most important for a student to grasp the basics before they can move on to more complicated subject material. I also am a strong believer of parental involvement. A parent knows their children's learning patterns best. I like to use different approaches.
