My teaching style is very Socratic. I rarely give answers to students. I love to have them search and discover the answers on their own. This involves a lot of questions and guiding the student to the correct answer. When students discover the answer on their own it is much more rewarding and long lasting for them. I firmly believe in fostering critical thinking and building students' logical reasoning skills. I constantly remind them that the skills they are developing with me are not just valuable in math but stretch into real world situations as well and will help them throughout their entire life.

I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics in 2004. Before entering college I tutored High School students in both Algebra I and II and Geometry. During college I donated time in the math tutoring center helping students with a variety of math courses such as Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Calculus I.
