As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was interested in English education, especially in terms of helping students improving their reading and writing skills. I followed this interest by tutoring at the university writing lab, as well as doing frequent one-on-one tutor sessions with students in need. At the end of each quarter I conducted private, one-on-one counseling sessions with the goal of helping students pass Cal Poly's Graduation Writing Requirement. A Little Bit About Me...

I tutoring when in high school. I continued to tutor while I was getting my undergrad. I tutored college students from my college and those surrounding me. I have taught at an adult school for a summer while I was getting me credential. It was very rewarding helping people receive their GED and better their lives.I also interned at a Junior High, teaching math. Once I received my credential, I worked at an independent study program for at risk students and again felt great about making a difference in these student's lives.
