With a BA degree in Music education I recently worked for 3 years at a local Piano Academy prior to my move to Nashville, TN. While teaching at the academy I was able to teach piano students of all ages, and really learn to tailor a lesson to the student. My passion for music education was birthed through a childhood of great music exposure and music teachers. I have been a professional musician since 1978, teaching other musicians theory, performance etc. What can I say? I grew up in a music store! I've taught guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums and piano technology. Most of my students are now professional musicians. I don't use any techniques out of any book, each person is different and their needs are also. My father had a piano rebuilding shop and I worked for him begining at age 12, in every aspect of piano rebuilding, regulating and tuning. Do I need to say more?
