My name is Sara and I currently work as an Office Manager and Local Systems Administrator. I teach my coworkers on a daily basis how to use computers and software. Part-time, I am a computer teacher at Or Chadash in Damascus, MD, and I teach grades K-7. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Art, an Associate's Degree in Advertising Art and Graphic Design, and I am back in school to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Networking and CyberSecurity. Graphic Design is one of my top subjects! I have been a graphic designer for 10 years and have real world experience with clients. I have done work for Solo Cup, Target, Sesame Street, Kroger, Aldi and Starbucks.

I have worked in the graphic design/advertising field for 10 years and have been drawing all my life. I run the gamut from Photoshop and Illustrator to pencil, charcoal and watercolor. I think it's important to know how to build a file well so that it is enabled for printing, while not compromising creativity. With drawing it is important to draw what you see before you can invent. Anatomy is important.
I like to draw students out with questions and get them thinking for themselves. In order to handle situations in the real world one needs appropriate problem solving skills. When I show something to a student I want them to repeat what I've just done and then explain why this works - but I want them to also try and find another way that will work. (If there is one)
