American History is one of my top subjects!

As an adjunct faculty instructor at the University of North Alabama, I teach students in a public speaking course through a series of class lectures, individual and group activities, live performances, examinations, and out of class assignments. I work on skills such as audience and situational analysis, research, organization, delivery, body language, and listening. My goal is to make my students more at ease with public speaking by teaching them how to be successful at it in a variety of situations. My style focuses on the processes in arriving at a solution. The learning goal in mathematics is to impart understanding of the process of working toward a solution, not attaining the solution. In mathematics as many other endeavors, it is how we proceed to a goal that is important, not the goal itself. The achievement at the end is the result of making the correct choices during the journey to the end.
Since undergraduate work, I have worked in the business world, primarily in the manufacturing arena. My academic experiences have continued on some level. In times past I tutored high school math students in North Carolina. I am proficient is equations, inequalities, Cartesian Coordinate System, polynomials, factoring and functions.
