I had no intention of teaching when I started my career in Psychology and the Analytical Chemistry industry. I continuously tried to improve my methadology to arrive at the right mix of stimulation and information to make the learning process as interesting as possible. Teaching the Physics of Xrays and chemical analysis does challenge one to keep assessing the learned content and modify as results indicate. The results of effective teaching and learning start with asking questions about the purpose of the instructions, how will the results of the learning be measured, and what is educational level of the students? I have been working with children from K-12 grade since 2001. I was part of the Math Academy in 2002. I have been subsituting in grades K-8 since 2009. I am fluent in the Spanish and I have experience working with migrant as well as with English Learner students. I worked with EL students for 3 years. I have also had the chance to work with special needs children.
I enjoy working with children. My theory of teaching is using the multiple intelligence theory. I believe that all children have the capacity to learn but in their own way.
