I tutored before but of course I wasn't paid for it because it was at my old elementary school. I helped children from ages 8-13 which I was only 11 or 12 at the time. I maybe young to tutor children and maybe I should wait until I'm 18 but, I love helping children with their homework and watch them accomplish the subject.

After graduating from MTSU, I went to Prague, Czech Republic to train and work as a teacher of English as a foreign language. I secured a position at Bell School International. Here I taught mostly adult students but I also had a few high school classes. I found it was more satisfying teaching the younger students and so I looked for work at the elementary level. At Horackova Elementary, I taught 6th to 9th grade English. I had a great rapport with all the students and enjoyed planning for the array of levels and age groups. However, I was the only teacher there who spoke English and felt alienated from the school. As a result, I made the difficult decision to return to the United States. I love working with Children. I believe each child learns differently, and that a teacher/tutor needs the patience to find the unique learning style of each student. I believe in disicpline and responsibilities, but I believe that a child needs to feel comfortable in a learning setting. I am a fluent spanish speaker, I spent the first 13 years of my life in Mexico. I am a U.S citizen since birth, and I have taught 1 year of spanish to ages 2-14 at Natures way Montessori School in Knoxville, TN. I enjoy teaching, and have been apart as a counselor and director of many Summer camps of elemntary and middle school age children. I have a great desire to serve people. I recieved a degree in Biology from Bryan College and a initial step to Physician assistant school.
