I hate lecturing! I do! This is why my tutoring style is very interactive. I don't like talking AT a person, I prefer to have a conversation. My goal as a tutor is to make subjects interesting, and also to make sure they stick- so you can do well on exams. I also teach study skills in every session, so ideally you won't have to rely on me forever. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level. Although, I tutor in all of the academic areas, I also enjoy helping my student appreciate the art of becoming a good writer, and thinkers. A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as a career counselor for 16 years. I was able to be a tutor for 6 years during this period. During those 6 years, I worked with high school students and tutured them in basic math. This period was very rewarding. Seeing the students go from third or fourth grade level of math to seventh or eigth grade level of math was a natural high for this students. This accomplishment made the students believe more in themselves,in what they can do and it opened more doors for a better future in thier personal lives. To me this was the ultimate experience that a person can have tutoring a human being.
