Every since I was little, I realized that I wanted to help others. I taught a bunch of young female children about field hockey. I have tutored my cousins in all of the areas listed and it helped them with their studies and their education. While I tutor, I like to have music playing in the background softly. I am available during the academic school semesters and the rest of the remaining summertime. I do have a full time job, and the only time that I am available now would be after 1 pm to about 6 pm throughout the week and weekend. I am more of a hands on,and mainly a lot of visuals as well as worksheets. Sometimes I use music, artists, sports and current events as a reference.

Because I have substituted at all grade levels and with all ability levels, I know how different each and every student learns. It is important to first get to know the individual and ascertain what techniques will work best for them. Mutual respect is very important. A major key to learning success is confidence. If you show the student respect, they will have more confidence in themselves. Children have a way of giving adults exactly what they think the adult wants or expects. If you expect the student to succeed they will be more apt to work toward that goal. For the past five years I have been a substitute teacher for MSAD 58. Grade levels I have experience with include K through 12. While I have subbed in all subjects, I really enjoy working with secondary level students in mathematics. I believe that everyone can find success in mathematics, and I am a very patient and thorough teacher. My students have often told me that I explain topics very clearly, in language that is easy for them to understand. I am a home-schooling mom who has been tutoring mathematics for over ten years. I began tutoring math while still in high school. In college, I facilitated study groups and 1-on-1 tutoring sessions.
