I have taught school for 29 1/2 years in Special Education . My positions were in Preschool Special Needs, Elementary Special Needs, and High School Occupational Course of Study. I have taught in both SC and NC. I love teaching preschool -elementary students. I have always had a passion for teaching because both of my grandmothers and my mother were teachers. Dyslexia is one of my top subjects! I am certified teacher at the Master's level with certifications for early childhood, elementary, special education, ESL and reading specialist. I am trained in Orton Gillingham and the Wilson program.

I graduated from Arcadia University with a Bachelor's degree in education from Arcadia University in 2014. I then went on to earn my Master's degree in education a year later from Arcadia University. Since that time, I was a classroom teacher for special needs students in an elementary setting and the lead EC teacher at my school and served on our student support team and school improvement team before becoming a district educational diagnostician. Helping children work through learning issues is my passion.

When working from my office, I like to use hands on activities that keep children engaged. I am a teacher and tutor. A good deal of my experience has been teaching Reading and Language Arts. I also have a degree in Learning Disabilities. I have taught general education as well as special education. I have taught at all levels. My most recent experience is in a primary class. A Little Bit About Me...

Prior to graduating May 8, 2010, I tutored students in grades K-12 for 2 years at an after school tutoring program called, Operation Homework. From this experience, I was able to initiate and Direct an educational summer camp called, 3-steps Ahead Summer Enrichment Camp. In this program, we aided students to perform on or above grade level in reading, writing and math. Also, prior to graduating I received a teaching position which enabled me to receive more hands-on training. My greatest strength is in teaching reading.
