I hold a Masters Degree in Reading and have experience teaching reading from 3rd grade to 6th grade and tutoring middle school reading. I am beginning my 14th year of teaching. I also taught Adult Literacy classes and have worked as the Reading Specialist at our school which involved working with teachers on best practice in Reading Instruction. I don't believe in one set teaching style. I think each student requires a personalized teaching style and I would try to accommodate each student personally. I have previously, and am currently, tutoring a fourth grade student with his spelling and math. I graduated from Auburn High School with a 3.8 GPA. I have an ACT score of 30. I am a National Achievement Semifinalist because of my PSAT scores and am waiting to find out if my SAT scores were high enough to qualify as a finalist. I will be attending UAB in the Fall of 2013.
