Experience Summary
I have a passion for teaching. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am a former First Grade teacher in the Hoover City Schools district. I have also taught in various preschools throughout Florida. I have worked with The Tutor Doctor to help children succeed in their academic endeavors. I take great pride in my love and ability to teach children to read. Reading is my favorite subject to teach and I have a very high success rate! If your child is struggling to keep up with the appropriate reading level for his/her grade, I would LOVE to help you out! I can tutor one-on-one or in a group setting. I provide all my own materials, so you would not have to worry about supplying anything. I use Fry's first 200 sight words and many other materials. I have leveled reading books (reading levels A-Z). I would love to help your child out!
Teaching Style
I provide a positive environment for your child. I like to get to know your child during the first session so that I can create lessons that will benefit your child the most. I make reading fun and encourage reading at home.

| I would love to help your child with his/her vocabulary development. I have used Wordly Wise in the past to help teach vocabulary. This is a great tool. If your child uses a different vocabulary tool at school, I can easily read up on their material and develop lessons that will most appropriately appeal to them. |

| I love teaching young children to write. I have a lot of experience and I have seen amazing outcomes. I teach how to write (how to form the letters) as well as how to write a cohesive paper. I love teaching narrative, informational, and persuasive (opinion) writing. Your child will benefit greatly from my writing lessons. |
