I have had several years experience of teaching throughout my schooling from college education, personal experience-being the oldest child/grandchild, daily experiences, and now being a parent of a young child. I've always known I would be a teacher. I loved my teachers growing up & I had a natural curiosity to know what it was like to help others. I hold 3 degrees-AA in Elementary Education, BS in Early Childhood Education, and MA-in Education. Even though I do have my degrees, I feel grateful to learn everyday. My teaching style depends on the person I am working with and the subject matter we are exploring. Everyone learns differently and that needs to be respected and appreciated. My goal is to provide an environment that is comfortable and positive, allowing my client to excel and reach their fullest potential. My entire background revolves around teaching. I taught in a Preschool while I was working on my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While there I worked with all ages from Infants to the School Age children. After completing my degree I then went to teach in a public school. The first year I taught and ran the Preschool Program of about 50 children, ages 3 to 5 years. The next four years I taught third grade where our emphasis was on reading comprehension, analytical thinking skills, and writing. Since graduating from Missouri State in the fall of 2009 with my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish education I have been substituting with Sparta schools and Republic schools. I have also been tutoring a student in Spanish. I completed my student teaching in the fall of 2009 with Ozark High School and Springfield Catholic School. Before then I spent several years working with kids at book festivals and in Mexico through Second Baptist Church. I also tutored special needs children at Ozark North Elementary during my high school years. Besides my Bachelor's degree I will also be certified to teach English to speaker's of other languages at the end of the spring 2010 semester.
