A Little Bit About Me...

I have had several years experience of teaching throughout my schooling from college education, personal experience-being the oldest child/grandchild, daily experiences, and now being a parent of a young child. I've always known I would be a teacher. I loved my teachers growing up & I had a natural curiosity to know what it was like to help others. I hold 3 degrees-AA in Elementary Education, BS in Early Childhood Education, and MA-in Education. Even though I do have my degrees, I feel grateful to learn everyday. I feel that daily experiences make us smarter. I know that learning something new everyday makes me proud of myself and others, and very thankful that I have the opportunity to learn new things.

My entire background revolves around teaching. I taught in a Preschool while I was working on my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since graduating from Missouri State in the fall of 2009 with my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish education I have been substituting with Sparta schools and Republic schools. I have also been tutoring a student in Spanish. I completed my student teaching in the fall of 2009 with Ozark High School and Springfield Catholic School. Before then I spent several years working with kids at book festivals and in Mexico through Second Baptist Church. I also tutored special needs children at Ozark North Elementary during my high school years. Besides my Bachelor's degree I will also be certified to teach English to speaker's of other languages at the end of the spring 2010 semester.
