Experience Summary
I have had several years experience of teaching throughout my schooling from college education, personal experience-being the oldest child/grandchild, daily experiences, and now being a parent of a young child.
I've always known I would be a teacher. I loved my teachers growing up & I had a natural curiosity to know what it was like to help others.
I hold 3 degrees-AA in Elementary Education, BS in Early Childhood Education, and MA-in Education.
Even though I do have my degrees, I feel grateful to learn everyday. I feel that daily experiences make us smarter. I know that learning something new everyday makes me proud of myself and others, and very thankful that I have the opportunity to learn new things.
Teaching Style
I believe children can learn in their own personal ways. I work with them to find their strengths/things they love, to help learning be more fun & productive.
I teach through discovery (trial/error), tactile (hands-on), play, & also providing a positive approach/praise to learning. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings & learning experiences.
I love seeing the child's face light up-catching that "ah-ha" moment (that they understand), being SO excited that they learned something new for the first time, or them being SO proud of overcoming something that was difficult to them. Those moments & being able to share them with the child, makes teaching worth it.
