I love working with kids, especially the difficult ones. I find success in being able to help kids learn a subject that they have been told by many that it is difficult. Math is easy with the right patience, and ability to explain in many different ways. I have both. Also, you have to love what you do, and teaching math is something that I love! After spending 16 years coaching, mentoring and training individuals in 2 fortune 500 companies I have returned to school at the University of Utah to complete by Bachelors in Mathematics. I have previously been a tutor for private individuals while I was making my way through college, and also as a professional duty while I was employed by the Salt Lake City Public Library, where I worked for six years. I have not been a tutor for a few years, although I currently volunteer with the International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake by assisting program workers teach english speaking and reading skills to new refugee immigrant women.
