Children have different learning styles and every child doesn't learn at the same rate. Teachers must realize this when planning lessons. My teaching style can best be described as varied! I believe that children learn in numerous ways, so as an educator it is my responsibility to provide multiple experiences - visual, oral, tactile, etc. A person walking by my classroom would see children smiling, working in groups, accomplishing projects, and would hear noise. After graduating from Vanderbilt University I taught 5th grade for 2 years while working on my Master's at TSU. I then moved to the Knoxville area and taught K until my son was born in 2000.
