I am a 4.0 student willing to help others

I am 4.0 student currently still in high school. I have mastered the arts of Algebra 1 and Pre- Algebra. I can also work with Elementary kids on any subject they need. I am active in the FFA so if you have any competitions coming up that I can help you with, I would be very glad to do so. I am also cheerleader at my local high school and if you have tryouts coming up, I would be more then happy to help you with what you can improve on to hopefully make the squad. I have discovered that every students is capable of achieving greatness if someone will take the time and effort to learn their learning style. I pride myself in being able to break things down to the most basic levels if necessary in order to reach a student. Often you have to know a child's personality, background, and home life in order to understand what he or she relates to. I don't believe in teaching a subject, I believe in teaching a student. I also do not believe in giving up. If the first method doesn't work then we will continue to try until something clicks and that child grasps the material and excels at it.

I spent some time teaching in the public school system. I had to resign my postion, due to family a family situation. I continued my work as a substitute teacher. I substituted after graduation and realized I loved teaching. In college I was asked to tutor for my instructors. My classmates came over to my house to study. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ole Miss in 99'. I taught 2nd and 5th grade before going to Falkner to teach Special Ed. in grades 9-12. I helped prepare students for state tests. A Little Bit About Me...

I want to do my part in society, and make life better for others. I want to reassure children that they can reach their goals. Many children loose confidence in themselves if they have a hard time understanding school material. I want to tutor and restore that confidence.
