I prefer a relaxed atmosphere of one-on-one teaching with a hands-on approach. I feel that part of the problem, for so many students, is that they are not comfortable approaching their teachers and asking questions. Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

'Retired' Biologist and Experienced Math Tutor

I have been teaching molecular biology to students and technicians in the laboratory for the past 12 years.
