I began signing at the age of 4, just home signs. In first-third grades my teachers taught us different songs and in sign language and I fell in love. I have been studying it ever since. I am currently enrolled in sign level 4 at my college, and will be applying to enter the ASL Interpreter program this upcoming February. Signing is and always has been my passion. I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions. I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.
