Experience Summary
From June of 2005 till January of 2009 I was homeschooling a family of 5 children everyday. I taught them all their basic curriculum as well as art, music, p.e., cooking, Spanish, sign language, health, and safety. When they needed help, I tutored them until they understood the material.
From January of 2009 till May of 2009 I student taught in a 5th grade classroom at Aire Libre Elementary School in the Paradise Valley School District. I took over the responsibilities of the entire class by creating and teaching all lessons as well as grading and returning all papers.
Teaching Style
I have grown up wanting to be a teacher. I love children and I love teaching them. Being able to help a child learn something new that will stay with them for the rest of their lives is very rewarding. I strive to make sure that I am reaching every student in my classroom. In order to do that I believe that my school curriculum needs to be creative and ever changing. All student learn differently so I need a diverse curriculum to meet the needs of every child in my classroom. The most important part of teaching is the children in the classroom and I strive to make an impact in each and every one of their lives.
