Additional Policies:

I am on Hiatus at this time due to Medical illnesses- 2018. Once I am recovered I will update this so you all know. Please keep checking back; it will be for several months however. I appreciate your understanding & hope to be back soon! I HAD TO DO A FACTORY RESET ON MY TABLET...WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS WORKING PROPERLY BEFORE I SUBSCRIBE & TAKE STUDENTS! I will take $10 per session (1 hour) but $15 would be appreciated because of transportation to & from the tutoring site. This is not my primary job as you can tell by the rate in which I am asking for. I am offering these two price ranges because my heart is with helping children with disabilities reach their full potential through early intervention strategies. I have ticked the Group box under Services Offered because... I will not do therapy in my home but will do it at a library that will book a private room for 1 hour each weekend. The rooms are spacious, have clear open doors to see out, have air conditioning and are for the most part sound proof. All these aspects together make for a healthy and productive tutoring session. I have ticked the Travel Distance as 10 miles FROM MY HOUSE TO TUTORING SITE, not from the distance the client will be coming. If you are 15, 20 or up to 45 minutes away I will accept the client as long as they can get to the session on time, at least within a few minutes of the appointment. I am not a Certified Teacher, but I have done student teaching in a first grade classroom as part of my curriculum for a child development class I took in college. Moreover, I feel I am just as certified being that I grew up with a learning disability myself; I know some of what now can be done that was only offered to me when I reached my teenage years. I have written children's educational books along with one that is 430 pages of information on Autism and related disorders. I have a website that is conjoined with the book offering an additional 30 pages of information. I will be more than willing to share all of this with the parents of the client.

About Me

Experience Summary

I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.

Teaching Style

I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.

Other Comments

My 2 quotes: 1. With our individual intelligences, we can be of assistance to others, not only to have them benefit from our abilities but also for us to devote our energy to our own eye-catching skills. I trust that if I work with others who have a skill that is not one I electrify, our specialized skills can merge together to create something or make a change! It is never too late to start using our skills, and usually these skills can become desirable to you yourself. 2. To me,"Teaching is sharing parts of the world YOU know about to OTHERS who have not yet had your opportunity."
