My comments on tutoring Earth Science : Perhaps my most enjoyable class since you get to take a good look at all the components that make up our world! In addition, I taught Earth Science as a High School Science Teacher.

I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! By understanding the make-up of cellular structures and relating that to tissue functions the students can fully understand a subject. This proves true with all subjects. By impowering the student with good base fundamentals, my students find it easier to link concepts together.

A Little Bit About Me...

I do not have a particular teaching style. I am trained to teach different styles, but it is my goal to get to know every child as an individual and figure out the best way for that child to learn. I also realize one type of style may not be the best for every subject matter.
