I have one class left to finish my BS in Elementary Education. My major is in science so everything I know is new and up to date. I have a nephew who is very intelligent however has a sever reading problem. Through the summer I found ways to break through the barriers and we advanced his reading by a couple of reading levels. I like to teach in whatever way best fits the students. I believe using many different methods is the best way to teach because it helps the student see the lesson in many different ways. Some lessons are best taught with hands on activities where the student can see what is happening and this tends to work best in math and science.
