While at USM, I served as the Assistant to the Graduate Reader as a graduate student, where my job was to proof graduate and Ph.D. students' theses and dissertations. Both of my parents were teachers so education is very important to me. My experience in teaching ranges from working with elementary children as a teacher's assistant to being an Adult Education Instructor. I worked with 3rd graders who were low in math and reading for about 3 years. My greatest challenge and motivation came from assisting all ages in their quest for improved reading skills or a GED.
