My comments on tutoring Elementary Science : Certified Elementary Teacher

I have worked for the past 13 years in accounting and management positions. I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in all four of the major subjects: math, science, social studies and language. I am also certified to teach grades 7-12 in the social studies area: US History, government, geography, and world history. I am also highly qualified to teach accounting and business because of the number of accounting and business classes that I have taken.

After graduated with a BS in Agriculture Economics from Alcorn State University in May 2000, I have worked as an Agricultural Statistician for the National Agricultural Statistics Service. While working with NASS, I have taking a creative writing class to improve my writing ability. I have also taking Calculus I, II, and III to build on my math skills. I am on track to receive a master’s in Management at Belhaven University in July of 2010. While at USM, I served as the Assistant to the Graduate Reader as a graduate student, where my job was to proof graduate and Ph.D. students' theses and dissertations. This job, in particular, helped me become extremely familiar with APA and MLA formatting, as well as everyday grammar and word usage. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of Alcorn State University. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science. During my four years at Alcorn State University, I took a number of biology, chemistry, math classes. During that time I perform independent studies, written research papers and had countless hours in lab. In the last few years I have tutored in science, biology,and math. A Little Bit About Me...

As a college graduate, I have taken several courses to enhance my knowledge base in education. I have earned a BS in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Special Education and a MS in Secondary Education with an endorsement in Guidance Education. I will be graduating in May with a Specialist in Education degree. As a public school educator, I teach in a self-contained setting. I teach Reading, Language, Spelling, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies everyday.
I love teaching as a facilitator. I want my students to be engaged and explore in the classroom. I actively seek ways to meet the needs of all students; I feel that each has something to offer. I encourage my students to take ownership in their learning and appreciate how important it is.
