I have worked with children from pre-k through 6th grade. I am a full time student at UTSA, so I believe these challenging classes will help me be able to help you get a clear understanding. I have tutored many students when I was in high school. I have also taught young children for the past four years. My approach to teaching will be using real life problems. I believe that if you can understand the problem in a real life situations then you can apply it. Depending on the age I will make sure and teach on that level. I enjoy working with children of all ages, but particularly excel with more mature students trying to tackle more difficult subject matter. One of my greatest strengths is helping people understand abstract, technical material by simplifying the concepts and using analogies that the student can relate to. Often times we create a barrier because something seems like it should be hard. I make it my goal to break through that barrier by reducing the subject matter to ideas to which the student can relate.
