As I solve problems I explain the underlying concept/strategy/trick behind the problem. After explaining all the concepts my students and I go through as many problems as possible. I tweak their approach, and if necessary explain again the necessary concept. There is a lot of drilling involved. I assign very small homework assignments so that we do not "start fresh" each session.
