I have worked hard at learning German. Although all I speak right now fluently is German and English, I am working on French as well. Having this cornerstone in languages is very important to success as a tutor, because unless you can explain things, you're unable to succeed. I also think in a very step-by-step process, and found that this brought me academic success in Mathematics and Computer Science. Don't tell me 2+2=4. Tell me WHY 2+2=4.

Although I wish I could count the endless amount of time I spent playing teacher as a child, I know parents are looking for more expierence than an eight year old and her dolls. I have tutored children, ages ranging from eight to fourteen, off and on for three years. I prefer to try to be more hands-on in my approach to teaching, especially with younger children. I do know that their attention span isn't as long as that of older people, so I try to keep them engaged through short and interactive sessions.
I've completed high school and been accepted into college, so I obviously have what's needed for the lower levels of education, such as elementary students, and I maintained a GPA of 3.5 throughout my high school career, so there is a good change I'll at least be able to get the resources needed for your student to excel in the subject of study they struggle in. A Little Bit About Me...

Working with such a diverse population of students ranging from grades 3-12, I have learned that each child processes information in different ways.
