My degree in History/Political Science allowed me to be something of a jack-of-all trades in respect to my career. I have done both office work and factory work as well as customer service. However, my last job is perhaps most relevant to this position, because I was in South Korea for 3 1/2 years teaching English to South Korean children ages 5 to 15. I approach every student as a unique individual with his or her own struggles. In general, I teach mathematics in a direct and simple way. I do not treat the subject as a game or a bag of tricks. A Little Bit About Me...

After finishing my Bachelor of Arts in English, I decided to teach English as a Second Language in China. I enjoyed my time there but returned home after a year to be closer to my family. The bulk of my classroom experience comes from teaching high school English in Charlotte, North Carolina.
