I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated with a degree in English while devoting time teaching kids and even adults martial arts. Also, I have tutored many of my younger cousins during their elementary school years and currently middle school as well. I have published two poetry books and am planning on writing a third book. I have a tremendous amount of love and passion for reaching out to others. I believe we will always be students, after all, we continue to learn each day. I grew up building computers, designing web pages, capable of typing over 100 words a minute, repairing computers and so forth. I have been an avid reader since I was a boy, and have excelled in all manner of reading, writing, and literary analysis classes. While earning my degree I worked as a pre-school teacher creating lesson plans and activites that were age appropriate. I have two years experience in public school teaching English for grades 9-12, and one year experience teaching journalism, art, yearbook and English in a private school.
All childern have the capacity to excel. It requires discovering the ways a student learns best (visual,auditory etc.) and applying that to teaching techniques with the expectation of success. I teach every lesson with a verbal, a visual, and written instruction so a student has every opportunity to retain knowledge and instruction. My teaching style is very unique. I start off by just getting to know the student and having them get to know and trust me. I then build on that trust factor while helping the students with their homework. I connect well with students and they trust me.
