I know the difference between Latinized English and real English, and I share this with my students. I know grammar is something one can't prescribe, just describe. I have tutored off and on since high school, and have been a substitute teacher for all grades for the last six years. I excel at spelling and grammar, and had a classical education in literature, Latin and Greek. Because of this classical education, I have been able to teach in-depth,and to share the etymology of many English words with students and teachers alike. I graduated from college one year early, having tested out of all my general studies, which freed me to take independent studies classes, such as in Chaucer and Middle English.

I have graduate degrees from Harvard and Johns Hopkins. I read seventeen languages. I have children who are twenty one, seven, six, four, and two, as well as a granddaughter who is three. I worked for the Dept. of Social Services, Div. of Youth Services for 14 years and assisted the teachers with the education ciriculum.
