My teaching style is a student-centered approach. The student is continuously challenged so they gain a better and more long term understanding of the curriculum. This is accomplished through both formal and informal assessments I have taught elementary school for over a decade. During this time I was the team leader, mentor to new teachers, and representative for various school committees. As a teacher I provide differentiated instruction so all students can learn at their level. I am a warm and caring teacher who believes all children can be successful if given the right tools.

I try to get the student to sound out their words, teaching them their phonics. Using flash cards, games, books, with words and phonics. I have three kids that are 20, 17, 14 years old that I taught when growing up. I taught (Pre-K - Kindergarden)Sunday school classes with Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church (1979). I enjoy working with kids and teaching them and helping them with there Phonics and Reading. I taught my kids how to read when they were in pre-K and elementary. I also taugth them their basic math skills.

All of our staff members are highly qualified with over 100 hours of training and observations. Our staff develops a specific intervention plan during an initial session with the child. A detailed lesson plan is developed weekly to encompass each student’s strengths and weakness as they progress through the programs. The staff continuously updates and/or revises student goals as the student either masters a particular area or shows difficulty. Each staff member keeps a detailed log on each component of the program that is covered in a particular session. The session notes include the academic performance of each new task. During a weekly meeting, the staff will review each student’s progress for the week and plan additional goals.
