I have been in the field of education for 10+ years. I taught Computer Science courses that included Web Design and New Media, Desktop Publishing and Computer Graphics. I like building my own computer since the ones I see on the retail are not powerful enough for my own purposes. I have designed websites and managed the websites including the one of the school where I previously worked. Managing it means doing some tweaking of the HTML codes and the CSS. I do a lot of Graphics and photo editing since I also shoot a lot of pictures. I Have design posters, logos, and animations for web ads. I keep learning new stuff since technology keeps on advancing and evolving.

I later majored in advertising and worked several internships and practicums with a variety of ad agencies and publication, including Southern Living. Over half of my 24-year is comprised of creative management positions. Recently, I decided to get back into higher education to earn my Masters degree in graphic design.

My comments on tutoring Graphic Design : I originally started as a traditional graphic designer working in a very large advertising agency in the UK. I trained designers to use the Apple Mac system since 1990 working with all the new programs which evolved throughout the years.

I work normally in groups to mentor staff/clients or students to understand the importance of great design through typography and quality design using basic programs like pagemaker through to InDesign. Individual one-on-one is preferable as I can dedicate my time to bring out the creative expressions. Professional design can make the difference by setting you apart from the competition. I like to give a student the edge with eye-catching graphics and make a statement about that will get them attention
