I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemisty with a minor in statistics. As an undergraduate, I tutored middle-schoolers in science and math as a volunteer at a local school. I was recently a substitute teacher, teaching all ages and in areas such as the biological sciences, algebra, calculus and psychology. I currently tutor a college student in mathemtics.
I first discovered my love for teaching in high school. I excelled in many areas and helped my fellow students learn. As I furthered my education, my passion for teaching grew and my style changed. I have molded my favorite, and most effective, professor's techniques into my own hybrid. I use humor and compassion to develop the student's understanding. I try to teach to the student and not at them. I teach study habits that will help them learn more effectively on their own.

I have worked with students of the elementary level since 2004. I have worked as an instructional aide, tutor, and substitute teacher in Delano, CA. I have a BA degree in Liberal Studies, and I am currenlty in the credential program at California State University, Bakersfield looking to comepleting the program and maintaining a teaching credential in multiple subjects. This past year I tutored students in English.
All children learn in different ways. Some children learn by listening, while others need visual to see what they are learning. I am very patient with students. I have worked with English Language Learners throughout my experience working with students. I really enjoy teaching students especially to help them get to their full potential. I have used this skill to assist classmates in better understanding difficult subjects mostly in mathematics, science, and computer applications. My bachelors of fine arts degree in interior architecture has enabled me to become proficient in subjects such as geometry, trigonometry, drafting, CAD, perspective drawing and rendering, environmental science, art history, and computer applications in PC and MAC.
